This year was one of the challenging years for me in terms of putting together all the little bits of french knowledge that I've been learning in the past years. It was difficult because you need to keep building on your knowledge while at the same time perfecting what you have learned in the past. Although I felt like with the greater focus that we had on grammar has helped me improve my fluency in French. Also with the exposure that I've had with French cinema and music, it's increased my interest in continuing to explore French culture. Although this is my final year as a French student in Lincoln, I am grateful for all of the years that I've been in this class. Looking back at this website I've realized how much I've accomplished in my years in French, and how many things I've done- from reciting poems to watching ads about Chanel N.5 to taking trips to Alliance Français for a Holocaust Gallery. This website is quite useful in the sense that it is a digital portfolio of all of my accomplishments and memories in French class, and that I can always look back at it.
This class has definitely been one of the challenging and rigorous courses I've taken for the reason that learning a foreign language that you aren't very exposed to presents its own set of challenges. The reason that I took French in 8th grade was because the language and culture itself was quite intriguing and I wanted to be a part of it. This fascination and interest has not changed for me in fact my willingness to pursue French has increased throughout these years, and I know that I will continue learning French even after this year. I will miss the craziness of this class and the fun moments we've had together; especially eating Carambars! But mostly I will miss Mme. Pimentel and the contagious energy and humour that she brings to the classroom everyday. :) (Madame, vous êtes très chouette).
Au revoir la classe de Français 2014-15! C'était une bonne année!
